Since Jim Humphrey started his Law Enforcement Consulting business he has been involved in numerous litigation support cases, both as an Expert Witness and as an Investigator.

As an Expert Witness he has worked with lawyers on law enforcement related civil cases involving allegations of illegal/false arrest, harassment, use of force, violation of civil rights, Police pursuit cases, etc., and has provided opinions as to the propriety of actions of the officers involved.

As an Investigator he has gathered documents, performed research and interviewed officers and witnesses involved in civil litigation against law enforcement agencies and officers, as well as medical malpractice suits against doctors. From these investigations he has produced reports upon which both Risk Management personnel and Attorneys have made decisions as to how to deal with the claims and/or lawsuits and, when necessary and appropriate, to present their cases in court.
